Barnes-Jewish Hospital Tours

Barnes-Jewish Hospital still offers a cursory tour of the Labor and Delivery Ward free of charge. You can call (314) 362-MOMS to arrange for that.

However, if you want a comprehensive tour with someone who has assisted with hundreds of births at Barnes-Jewish and knows the operation inside and out, you'll want to take a small-group tour for expectant mom's and coaches or schedule a private tour for the whole family--future siblings included.

This tour includes a full review of the birth process while at Barnes-Jewish Hospital including a demonstration and explanation of the bed, monitors and other equipment you'll encounter in the birthing and postpartum rooms. Kim Amos conducted these tours for mom's and families for eight-years while on BJH staff and now she is at your disposal for an in-depth explanation that is no longer offered by hospital staff.

Small-Group Tours are normally offered a Monday evening from 6:30-7:30 PM. Cost $25 per expectant mom with one coach. Minimum two couples to conduct the tour. Childbirth class clients may attend a group tour at no additional cost.

Private Tours scheduled at mutually agreed upon day and time for 1 hour. Cost $40 per expectant mom with up to four family members.

All tours meet in the main lobby at the fountain. For group tours, please arrive a few minutes early so the tour can start on time at 6:30.
